WORLD RANKING

Founded in 2000 as a Vocational Center, Universiti Geomatika Malaysia (UGM) specialized on land surveying. Geomatika applied for college status after noticing an increasing need for this kind of specialization and receiving Ministry of Education permission.

In keeping with the country’s goal of becoming a developed nation by 2020, UGM has matched its policies with the National Transformational Program (NTP) under the NKEA as part of Malaysia’s tertiary education ecosystem. The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) granted GUC the status of a full university college in 2014.

And after years of excellence, GUC was awarded full university status in the year 2022 by MOHE, and subsequently ranked in THE World University Ranking Impact in the year 2024.
